On a mission to make kids screen time worth it

An app that encourages your kid to leave screens and interact with the physical world

Mission

I am a parent of three kids, and it has always been a struggle to come up with ideas for what to do. AI helped me and my daughter Leya — we drew, made our characters come alive, and played with a live camera. All of this turns your imagination on: you make things with your hands, and you interact with your kid. So I decided to spend my time figuring out how AI can help with your kid’s development.

Working prototype

Draw

The first activity that works end to end. The agent starts the conversation, the kid makes real art on paper, and the screen steps back while it happens.

  1. The agent asks what to draw

It opens with a question, not a menu of templates.

  2. It pushes the idea further

A few follow-up questions, and the kid’s own idea gets bigger.

  3. It sketches the idea in seconds

A lite image model (Nano Banana Lite) is fast enough to answer while the kid is still talking.

  4. Then the timer starts

The kid draws on paper. Nothing to watch, nothing to tap — the kid is off the screen.

  5. The agent helps to photograph it

When the art is ready, it guides the shot and keeps the picture in the gallery.

  6. You end up with both

Five or more screen-free minutes, and a real drawing on the table.

Same recipe, more activities next: camera, voice, and generative models used for one purpose — to send the kid back to the physical world.
